Chocolate chip cookies

These cookies are soft gooey cookies. The base of this recipe can be used for other types of cookies as well. For example, substitute half or all of the chocolate chips with hazelnuts, soaked raisins or apple chunks.

Make the dough

  1. Mix flour, baking powder and corn starch together

  2. In a separate bowl mix the butter, egg, sugar and vanilla

  3. Add everything together and finally add in the chocolate chips or crushed chocolate

  4. Pack in plastic and rest the dought in the fridge for 2 hours

Make the cookies

  1. Scoop balls of the dough onto a baking sheet

    Leave enough room around each dough ball as it will sag and spread
  2. Bake at 165c for 10 to 15 minutes depending on the size of the ball
    The cookies are still very soft when finished baking, but they will continue to bake while cooling down on a rack for another 15 minutes.
